About

Tim and his wife, Carolyn, settled in Baltimore County almost 3 decades ago, where they have been working and raising their four children (all proud graduates of Dulaney High School).

Growing up, Tim worked hard to earn money. He mowed lawns, was a golf caddy, grocery clerk and landscaper.  He labored in a granite quarry, installed trailer hitches, and built truck caps.  And he was employed in a steel mill to help pay his way through medical school.

After graduating from the University of Michigan, Tim studied medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, did an internship in Internal Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in inner city Detroit, and honored his scholarship commitment serving as a Commissioned Medical Officer in the U.S. Public Health Service in rural Louisiana, working as a General Practitioner.  He studied anesthesia in southern California at Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he spent an additional year concentrating in pediatric and cardiac anesthesia.

Returning to the mid-Atlantic, Tim brought his medical experience to St. Joseph Medical Center. There he used his pediatric anesthesia expertise to become a mainstay in the surgeries for dwarfs and little people, working with Dr. Steven Kopits, as an integral part of the world-renowned International Center for Skeletal Dysplasia.

Tim has been deeply involved in the Baltimore medical community. He is a former Chair of the Baltimore Anesthesia Study Committee, has been President and a member of the Executive Committee of the Maryland Society of Anesthesiologists, and served on the legislative committees of the Maryland State Medical Society and the Baltimore County Medical Association.

An anesthesia practice is a small business, and Tim was President of York Road Anesthesia Associates, where he has seen how the increasing quantity and complexity of government regulations affect local small businesses.

A community activist, Tim is also a 27 year member of the Pot Spring Community Association and a 23 year member of the local PTA.

Tim loves Maryland and wants to have the opportunity to give back to his community by serving in the Maryland House of Delegates. In 2014 he ran for the State Senate against a 12 year incumbent. Recruited into the race for senate in February, with only 8 months to campaign, he came within 3% of winning, though outspent by his opponent by more than 3 to 1.

After the election Tim was asked to help re-invigorate two local Republican clubs. Now serving as president of the Reagan Republican Club and a founding member of the Greater Towson Republican Club (previously the 42nd Republican Club), he led in building the first coalition of Baltimore County Republican Clubs.

During his medical career, Tim served his patients and their families. He now asks for your support as he seeks to serve his community in the Maryland State House of Delegates.
